Smoothie Recipe

I have had so many people send me inquiries about the smoothie recipe that I mentioned in Transforming Repression of the Divine Feminine, I feel that I may as well just make that smoothie recipe public, so that people can access that information without me having to of send out detailed emails to people.. Just to save myself the trouble. So, when I wrote that essay, two years ago, I was fond of a very particular smoothie recipe. And my smoothie recipe has morphed over the last two years, so I will share both - the old recipe and my current basic favorite, just to show that there's been a bit of a difference. Basically in my current recipe, I try to keep the amount of sugar in the milk super low - if not unsweetened, I no longer use Acai as religiously, and I ALWAYS have leafy greens in the smoothie. My current smoothie is a tad more bland and almost bitter, depending on the greens that I use. I'm trying to not have a superfoods milkshake every day now.Two Years Ago Smoothie Recipe Bananas (Typically 2)Strawberries (Frozen)Acai (Frozen Packages / Sambazon)Goji BerriesFresh Ground Flax SeedRaw Cacao PowderVitamineral GreenMaca PowderAmazon BlissRice or Hazelnut MilkI always put a lot of Milk in so that it's quite liquidy, and I usually begin blending with the lid closed, and then after it's begun blending, I will open the lid and spoon in the powders in as it's blending. Two years ago, my tendency was towards getting the cheap rice milk, which I finally realized had a LOT of sugar in it... 14g. My smoothies were like healthy milkshakes. Crazy yummy, made me feel really high from all the cacao and maca, & really sweet. My Current Favorite Smoothie Recipe (I've improved upon it.. I try to do smoothies regularly - several times a week)One Banana (typically)Frozen StrawberriesFrozen BlueberriesRaw Hemp Seeds2 or 3 stalks of Leafy Greens (Collards / Kale)Almond or Hemp Milk (Low Sugar or Unsweetened)Raw Cacao PowderVitamineral GreenMacaForce PowderE3 LiveI like my current recipe a Lot more, because I'm getting raw Leafy Greens every day, plus probiotics, plus all the superfood powders. And plus, I just think that Raw Hemp Seeds are AMAZING. They make the smoothie so much better than Flax Seeds or Hemp Powder. Really, Raw Hemp Seeds make the smoothie. If it weren't for the hemp seeds, I don't know, it wouldn't be the same. Check out RawFamily.com for more information on Raw Leafy Green smoothie recipes. I was definitely inspired by her book, Green for Life, to begin bringing Raw Leafy Greens into my smoothie recipe, and I feel it's massively helped my digestive system. But - there are SO MANY PEOPLE with SO MANY SMOOTHIE RECIPES... And I know a few friends who have seriously amazing and incredible and unique smoothie recipes. I would love it if you friends out there feel inspired to share your recipes! So don't just rely on someone else's recipe. Experiment. Find out what your body feels intuitively magnetized towards. My main suggestions are: low sugar, hemp seeds, leafy greens, superfoods! YUM! Here's to a highly nutritious, healthy, effortlessly digestible breakfast that you can take on the road and make in minutes. (Who eats cereal anymore? And why?)
